Scotland's Whisky Trail

 

Scotland is malt whisky country and many distilleries offer guided tours and tasting sessions. The world renowned Royal Lochnagar Distillery in Crathie and the Tomintoul  Glenlivet Distillery in Ballindalloch are  only 30 minutes drive away.

Snow Roads Scenic Route

 

Laghlasser sits directly on the Snow Roads Scenic Route - a 90-mile journey which takes you from the picturesque market town of Blairgowrie to the traditional Highland town of Grantown-on-Spey.   The route traverses the highest public road in Britain taking you through some of the most outstanding landscapes in the eastern Cairngorms.

Walking & Mountain Biking

 

Walk or cycle directly from the cottage onto a number of routes which will take you over wild moors to serene valleys. You can also join the Old Military Road, a 4.5km route,which finishes directly in front of the cottage at Cock Bridge.

Skiing & Snowboarding

 

Be first on the slopes during the winter months at the Lecht 2090 Resort which offers some of Scotland's best skiing  and snowboarding. Only 5 minutes drive from the cottage both half day and full day passes are available along with ski and snowboard hire.

Cultural Attractions

 

Why not explore the historic Corgarff Castle which is only 10 minutes walk from the cottage.

A trip to Lost Gallery is a must! A 10 minute drive from the Spar shop in Bellabeg, the gallery is in an idyllic setting and the quality of art on display is exemplary.

During the summer months visit the Gerard Murphy photography exhibition in Corgarff Community Hall - only 5 minutes drive. Observe the beauty of the Cairngorms from 'The Watchers' art installation, a few minutes drive towards the Lecht Ski Centre.
